The meeting of the Family Society in 2010 was
held in Helsinki the 19th and 20th of June.
The meeting of the Family Society in 2007 was
held in Halikko the 9th and 10th of June.
Summer
excursion 2006 at Monastery of Valamo in Russia was held during
14-16 july 2006.
Summer
excursion 2005 at Viipuri, Pietari, Tartto and Tallinn was held
during 10 - 12 june 2005.
Summer
excursion 2003 at Tallinn and
Saarenmaa was held
during 6 - 8 june 2003.
The
meeting of the Family Society
2004 happened in Jyväskylä the
12th and 13th of June at the
Hotel Alba and the University of Jyväskylä.
Summer
excursion 2003
Isle of Saarenmaa in Estonia is the
destination of the summer excursion 2003, the 6th and 8th
of June. The summer excursion of the Family Society, normally lasting for
two days, is arranged every second year. The excursion is arranged mostly
for joy and pleasure and to meet known and unknown relatives as well as
places important to the family history, if there are some in the area. By
the side of the road to Saarenmaa, on the continent side, there is living
one of our relatives, Eino Vesterinen, who probably will get one or two busloads of
visitors to greet him next summer.

Antin
Soitto
The 21st folk music festival,
Antin Soitto, which was organised also 2002 the 10th of
November in the Kannonkoski School. This small festival originates from
Antti Vesterinen, who lived in 1908-1981 and was a well known fiddler at
his best, not only in Finland, but also widely abroad.
Family
Council
The Family Council (“The Board”) meets
4-5 times a year mostly in Helsinki. All the members of the Family Society
are welcome to give their suggestions and comments through the members of
the council. The members of the council are elected during the meeting of
the Family Society for a two-year period.

The meeting of the Family Society in 2002 was
held in Pieksämäki the 8th and 9th of June at the
Hotel Savonsolmu and the Cultural Centre Poleeni.
